A gemstone or a mineral specimen from is accompanied by the knowledge about its origin and the history of the stone. Our stones are not stained with blood but with lots of sweat and it is guaranteed that the finder received a fair price.

Leo Klemm, born in Zurich, Switzerland, made his biggest hobby to his profession. As a passionate mineral collector he was looking for beautiful crystals and rare minerals in the Swiss Alps and in quarries. As a consequence he studied mineralogy and geology at the University of Basel and at ETH Zurich focussing on ore deposits and microanalysis. He then worked for a big mining company on a huge iron ore project in West Africa. And because geological field work almost exclusively takes place in remote areas far away from family and friends, he returned back home and worked for a renowned gemmological laboratory in Switzerland developing origin determination of gemstones by trace element analysis. Meanwhile he is investigating damages on concrete buildings as a technical consultant and with LukusuziRiver he found a way back to theworld of beautiful stones and to his beloved Africa.
